Bernina to say Poschiavo isn't as far and isn't as long. Even one leg of this shuttle - say the Furka Pass leg is as long as Bernina to Poschiavo. And if you mean Bernina to Pontresina thats even shorter.

Getting to Switzerland and doing this isn't as expensive as people might think.

Current conditions on Lower Seymour;

Huh, I guess if I did that loop I'd swap that road route return with a little climb back up to Executioner and down lower Executioner to Skyline. With that amount of KM on that loop, if one were to park a bit closer, one would be able to do 3X the amount of trails, at least :-)

Or back up the climb to BP and back down BP to the car. Lower Executioner AKA Bitches Brew which would be in amazing shape since probably nobody rides it anymore!

It looks like this has been just the thing needed to kick start a working relationship between CMHC and the users of "their" land:

Further update #1 re Seymour and CMHC trail signage

The CMHC has just released a statement that the CMHC and the Province will permit "reasonable and responsible" recreational use of the CMHC Seymour lands. No statement was released with respect to the status of organized or commercial events.

Update from that other website confirming that FLNRO and RSTBC will be involved and that the entirety of the CMHC lands on Seymour are being discussed. RSTBC is quoted

Update #1 - October 28th, 2016

On October 27, 2016, the CMHC met with various parties to discuss their future intentions for the large block of land owned on Mount Seymour. To summarize the new developments, the CMHC confirmed that their concern was liability and that they were willing to discuss ways for all recreational users to access trails on the CMHC lands in the "short to medium term". The Province of BC's responsible agency is RSTBC which has a track record of successfully managing and sanctioning recreational trail access. No further color was given on proposed long-term access by recreational users of the land.

" It looks like the ground got saturated and with daytime highs in the single digits, the trail just might not get dry again this season. We upgraded most of the alpine draw crossings with countless buckets of rocks and will return again to tackle more.
It always helps to let a winter compact and cement the trails tread (you’ll notice conditions change when you reach the 2015 and 2014 build zones) so you can expect the trail to CLOSE when the autumn rains begin to fall… In the mean time, please enjoy the ride however:
Stay on the trail (it is easier to wash your bike than to repair a trail)
Stay in control (saturated soil is slippery)
Stay at home (or ride wet weather proven trails at lower elevation)
Consider these options: Lost lake, Riverside, Lower Sproatt, Danimal, A Rockwork Orange, Kill me Thrill me
Or the recently upgraded “swamp thing” on Comfortably Numb (Secret Trail North)
