I'm not sure how they get around this, something to do with nominal vs peak power. I would agree though, on paper it looks like this motor shouldn't be legal.

There is already E-bike specific chain lube out there, so nothing is off limits.
That's definitely a good update then. I've never had the pedal insert problems that many have had on the older RF cranks so haven't needed to upgrade to anything newer yet.
The 16mm nut has been around for RF cinch cranks since they started. If you have ever had to swap a cinch spindle for any reason, you would need to have this nut (or a bolt with an appropriate sized head) . I carry one on my rides now, as I have had a NDS crank arm come loose once or twice over the years, and you are usually SOL if you don't have something to tighten it up.
I feel this one word sentiment sums it up well for me also.
SRAM is so far behind. Anyone remember the Autobike from the late 90's? This looks like it was filmed with a potato, but still a good laugh.
It would not have the payload or towing capacity of a pickup truck either. I dont want to assume anything, but cutting off the c-pillars would make me think that there some effect on the rigidity (and safety) of the body as well.
Dont let ICBC see this! Im pretty sure they wouldn't insure it if they knew it was a pickup truck conversion :)
What about all the other brands out there? I know that many riders wont look beyond Maxxis, but there are so many other good ones out there. Nobby Nic SuperTrail in soft compound?
These are beautiful cranks, and I love and own lots of NSB components. Would I buy these over some RF turbines? That would be a tough sell for me at more than double the price and more weight. You can also get turbines in 175mm :)
Im assuming that is your top speed, not the top assisted speed? It isnt street legal either if it assists up to 45kph.

So it was a hit to the drivers door. That would explain why the Tesla driver suffered the injury albeit a minor one. Id be willing to put the argument out there that the rigidity of the panels might have actually saved the driver from even worse injuries, but Im not going to jump to any conclusions. Im still not sure how one infers a 'total death trap' to be honest. I would assume a death trap would actually involve......death?

the marketing push for vaporware truck continues.
Spotted a Cyber Truck in Deep Cove this morning. I didn't realize that they had actually shipped any. It is not an attractive vehicle, at all.
And it turns out it's a total death trap:
That is not what the article says at all? It only brings up the question (with no data available) if the hardened steel body panels of the Cybertruck cause more damage than a conventional vehicle. I figure any vehicle with 2x the mass of the other is going to be the winner in a collision no? For the record, I am no fan of Cybertrucks or pretty much any EVs that are currently being produced.
Cybertruck vs. Toyota corolla
Corolla? Totaled.
Cybertruck? Minor damage.
Guess which driver was injured... sorry i shared the wrong article earlier
Where does it say the Cybertruck only had minor damage? Id be willing to bet the Cybertruck is totaled as well. The picture does not show the drivers side of the truck, which is where the impact occurred. Id say both vehicles did well if there was only one minor injury and no hospitalization was required for a near head on collision. Without knowing more details of the accident, its impossible to draw any of these conclusions about the Cybertruck. What if the Corolla actually hit the driver side door of the truck and not the front?
Definitely not flattening out in Vancouver from what I can see. Ours went up 8% this year. Previous years of 11%, 11%, 6% and then the Covid lull. That is the only time it was 'flat' for us. Looking back on the assessment page, I forgot how nuts 2016/2017 was when our assessment went up 22% and then 26%. Also no plans to move, so it really doesn't have much effect on us.

Id go with i30. It seems like i35 is a bit of a width of the past when plus tires were being tried out and most are moving away from them. I have some i28 and i29 wheels that do just fine with widths up to 2.6".
We got a smart trainer for the winters a couple of years ago. Definitely helps keep the fitness up on the cold/dark days. Make sure you have a few fans, a table to put stuff on (we used an ironing board until we found a dedicated trainer table) and a bike that you can leave on the trainer (so you don't have to mess around with taking it on/off all the time). Zwift definitely makes it more interesting than just spinning away on a trainer with no goal in mind.
It might be possible, but the question as to why you would want to should be asked? Are you doing it to see if its possible? Monetarily, it would likely be pretty close in terms of buying a new 180mm (which you can shim down to 160mm) and selling the 150mm vs buying a $100 cartridge that might or might not work.

Also, a little known tidbit about 5:10's that I recently learned from a buddy is that the Addidas outlet in Richmond (or maybe Tsawassen? Can't remember) has 5:10 shoes at half off. So if you need to try stuff on, then head out there if you have patience for suburban style parking lots!
If it is Tsawassen Mills you're in luck - that mall & parking lot are super spacious and super empty. All. The. Time. I also find it incredibly bizarre that for every 4 or 5 stores there is a place that rents ride-on toys/vehicles just to get around the mall.
Its not Tsawassen Mills, its the McArthurGlen outlets near the airport in Richmond.
Ah. Thats where that comes from. $9.95 for small parts shipping. Mystery solved, yet still a bit confusing.
Ive emailed them to ask what is going on. I helped them correct their math earlier when they said Dreadnoughts were 45% off. 30% off plus an additional 15% off is not 45%......
