I need to give that next section a checkout.  The section north to Pemby is pretty spectacular in a couple of spots.

How is the section of the S2S south of Brandywine?  I've done whistler to Brandywine and Whistler up to Pemby on the S2S, but haven't tried the section further south.  You cross over the highway to get it, yeah?

I don't disagree with the math of it - but I wonder about the utility. If taking the CPP earlier means I can retire/semi-retire earlier (to whatever standard of living I'm banking on), then I don't know if maximizing total dollar amount is the right way to think about it.

I also wonder if I'd get more overall life enjoyment by pulling it earlier when theoretically I'm still more physically able to enjoy travel etc. Watching my parents and in-laws age, I note that after 80 the desire and tolerance goes down. So yeah, you might have get a better total return by pulling the CPP at 70, but if that just ends up being cash that gets translated to an inheritance, is that truly valuable.

I'll have to look at that GIC /CPP deferral thread and go through the math on it to wrap my head around it.  Maybe it answers my thinking on the utility aspect.  Thanks for the link.

Tesla injury most likely due to the wallop from the side airbag I’d wager.  

Kinda cool that the truck is smart enough to only deploy the side bag based on the impact.
