We are currently offering positions in our sales department for an experienced Sales Associate

Sales Associate Position:

Candidates should be:

-Friendly & knowledgeable about the bike industry and the related products. Comprehensive training is provided along with huge online knowledge resources.

-Willing to engage in conversation with customers from all walks of life and listen to/qualify their needs in an open, friendly, and efficient manner

-Be able to work in a fast paced work environment often dealing with multiple clients simultaneously but also be self motivated during downtime and help maintain the shop and the customer experience.

-Previous retail experience especially in the bicycle industry, also a candidate with lightspeed and/or Merchant OS experience would be an asset. Experience is not essential but would be an advantage.

Experienced Permanent Bicycle Mechanic Wanted - Norco John Henry Bikes

Here at Norco John Henry Bikes in beautiful North Vancouver we service every bike that comes through the door with the best mechanics, tools and resources possible. Weather it is a world cup race bike or a faithful old commuter we give the best service and at a reasonable price. We want you to join our team and become part of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable world class service department with an opportunity for growth and to improve your knowledge. Candidates to join our team should have:

-At minimum of 5 year’s previous experience working in the service department in the cycling industry

-Detailed and extensive knowledge of bicycles of all types, parts, tools, service techniques and parts compatibility

-Attention to detail and efficient and tidy work ethic

-Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced work environment as well as being able to work as part of a team

-Ability to talk to customers in a friendly and open manner, efficiently assess and diagnose their bicycle concerns and explain the repair service to the customer in an easy manner

-Knowledge of the stripping and servicing all rear shock and forks from shim stack assemblies to damper servicing.

-Knowledge of the stripping and servicing of all types of dropper posts, including seals and IFP’s

-A detailed knowledge of suspension forks and shocks, servicing and tuning, suspension kinematics, bearing overhauls and if possible but not required, knowledge of electronic gear installation. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues under pressure but to the highest standard.

Hey guys,

It summer time and bikes are flying out the door here at Norco John Henry and in order to make sure that our customers get their bikes when they want them, we are looking for a talented enthusiastic bike builder to join our team. We take our bike assemblies very seriously as we want to ensure that our customers get their bike built to the highest possible standard and that the bike is built in such a way that it perform to the highest possible standards for as long possible. It is a seasonal position that will be 5 days a week up until September 31st with the potential to have this extended should the candidate impress.

A suitable candidate should have the following:

Previous bike shop experience where bike assembly was a component.
Flexible hours and the availability to work weekends.
The ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly problems when they arise.
A good knowledge of current bike standards and technologies.
The ability to adjust all types of hubs.
Previous experience in truing wheels.

Candidates with the following skills will be considered more favourably:

Previous experience in servicing fork lowers, changing lower oils etc.,
The ability to bleed, fit and adjust Sram and Shimano brakes
Experience in bleeding adjusting and setting up dropper seat posts.
